Precise cutting and sticking

Genomic engineering is not new, but it has not been used efficiently and widely. The CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing tool came out in 2012. It's an innovative technology for cutting and pasting gene manipulation information and introducing sharp molecular dissecting knife into research laboratories.  This revolutionary gene editing technique includes the use of targeted RNA to guide endonuclease to a specified sequence for editing. CRISPR simplifies the process of deletion, addition, or modification of genes in an easy-to-use way. The method is extensible, that is, researchers can quickly study a large number of genes.

Remolding animal model

Drug research and development also includes the development of more physiologically related models to better relate the clinical environment and reduce the loss of candidate drugs. CRISPR can modify the endonuclease gene of nucleic acid, that is, it can be used to study protein at the non denaturalization level, but not simply by overexpression. Therefore, CRISPR is expected to be used to develop complex animal models in order to better simulate human diseases and to provide researchers with an insight into the process of disease.

Looking for a target

The main challenge facing the pharmaceutical industry is how to find new and validated targets, so as to achieve the desired treatment through pharmaceutical control. At present, only a few genomes have been explored in the industry. CRISPR can regulate nucleic acid endonuclease gene specifically to achieve complete gene knockout, at the same time it can minimize the Miss effect, and then improve the target recognition. Precision treatment
